When All Else Fails: How Many Virgins?
Hope everyone had a lovely Easter, and a Monday either wet or dry, according to your preference!
Last week (speaking of small talk) I promised to post Starlee Kine’s “Rundown”—her personal method from getting from small talk (the conversation you think you are supposed to be having but don’t want to) to actual conversation (the conversation you want to be having). One of her suggestions: if you find the conversation is getting boring you can always ask “How many virgins?”. The link above takes you to an audio version of the story, with a link where you can read a transcript as well.
This week I offer you Old Enough. What’s your earliest memory of being sent on an errand by a parent, alone, outside on your own?
Also: we’ve all heard about the perils of sitting. Here’s a guy who’s taking it to a whole new level.
